How do I book?To keep the booking process fair for everyone, we accept reservations up to 4 weeks (28 days) in advance, to the exact minute. For example, an 6 pm time slot on a Sunday will be available to book on the website precisely 4 weeks prior at 6 pm—no midnight releases. Bookings are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are not confirmed until all details are entered and payment is complete. To view all available time slots, simply choose your experience and proceed to the booking calendar. If a date or time isn’t accessible, it’s likely either not yet open for booking (over 28 days in advance), fully booked, or reserved for a special event.

What will the experience be like?Salma Sauna offers an all-around experience that combines relaxation, health benefits, ritual, and connection with others and nature. We recommend enjoying 15-minute sessions inside the sauna with plenty of breaks outside or in the ocean dip. Arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time to change and make the most of your session. If you arrive late, we won’t be able to extend your slot.
-
How do I prepare for the sauna?Make sure to remove all jewellery before entering the sauna, as it can get extremely hot. Avoid eating a large meal and refrain from drinking alcohol before or during your sauna session.
-
Can I put water on the stones?Absolutely! For a genuine sauna experience, guests have the opportunity to manage the 'löyly' (the steam generated from the sauna stove), giving you control over both the humidity and heat intensity. While adding water to the rocks enhances the humidity and is a key element of a traditional Nordic sauna, please refrain from pouring large amounts at once. Instead, gently ladle water onto the rocks in small quantities until the heat reaches your desired level. Pouring too much water onto the stove at once may create a temporary spike in temperature, but it can actually cool the sauna rocks, which counteracts the overall heat. If you prefer a hotter sauna, feel free to ask our staff on-site for assistance, and we’ll be glad to help. A trained staff member will always be available to answer your questions and assist you in managing the heat and water on the rocks.
-
Do you have ice-baths?We offer ocean cold plunge and ice-bath options. Please note that the cold plunge is not a guided experience and is used at your own risk.If you are unsure about using the cold plunge, we recommend starting with short periods and gradually increasing your time.
